If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you can’t. Either way, you’re right.”
– Henry Ford
That’s my current mantra.
Do you have a mantra or mantras?
In case you don’t know what a mantra is, here’s one of the definitions: A statement or slogan repeated frequently.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the limitations that I have placed on my own success due to my own stinkin’ thinkin’ and I’m ready to return to the infinitely positive person that lives inside of me. I’ve realized that I’ve been limiting myself by not believing that I could achieve all of my health goals and I have now let this go. I feel amazingly empowered.
What do you say to yourself about your health or weight? What are the thoughts that frequently run through your head? Are more of your thoughts positive than negative? Do you replace any negative thoughts that come up for you with a positive mantra?
Many people have said that The Ultimate Weight Loss Program is hard. I’ve realized something recently. The UWL program is what the UWL program is. If you think the program is easy, the program is easy. If you think the program is hard, it’s hard. Your thoughts determine your reality.
I believe that the UWL program is easy. So it is easy for me.
I’ll give you an example of this in operation. When we travel or go to restaurants, we UWLers need to prepare ahead of time and make sure that we can get plant based, whole food, free of salt, oil and sugar. Someone could easily think that this sounds really hard. It might seem really uncomfortable for you to ask for exactly what you need in a restaurant. It also might seem embarrassing for you to bring supplementary food to a restaurant, like a bag of cooked rice, a container of beans or a homemade dressing to add to the raw salad ingredients that are available in most restaurants.
Staying on UWL while travelling or at a restaurant is easy if you think it’s easy. It’s hard if you think it’s hard. Either way, you’re right.
What do you think?
I’ve got a lot of other business to discuss with you today here on Healthy Girl’s Kitchen.
You guys wanna know which two people won the Plant Pure Nation DVDs and cookbooks, right?
And you also want to link to listen to the free teleclass on navigating the holidays, right?
Thank you to everyone who entered the Plant Pure Nation giveway. I wish I could make you all winners! It was painful for me to chose just two, and ultimately I just had to kind of close my eyes and pick, because everyones entries were so beautiful!
The winners are:

I have spent my whole adult life taking care of others, in my family and my profession. I took care of everyone but myself. I was over weight, tired and never had any energy to do the things I enjoyed. January 2014 I decide it was MY turn. I was going to focus on me. I started a WFPB diet. It took me most of the year to transition. By January 2015 I was doing well on it. The Habit I started for 2015 was exercise. I wake at 5:00am to fit it into my day. My goal is at least 60 minutes a day of a variety of different exercises I can do at home: treadmill, bike, elliptical, weights, Pilates, yoga. At first it was hard- I could only do 3 sit ups and 5 minutes on the elliptical. I hated it. It was uncomfortable But I did it anyways. I now enjoy my hour of exercise. During that time I listen to Chef Aj’s teleclasses. I am learning so much and staying motivated. I feel so much better then I use to, I’m happier, have much more energy and am down 60 pounds. My goal for 2016 is to start a local support group for people who want to start a WFPB diet and exercise program.

The habit I would like to adopt is doing yoga 3X per week at least. My reason for wanting to do yoga is both for flexibility and for inner serenity. I was interested to see you started doing yoga and although I’ve been thinking of doing it for some time, I decided to actually get started when I saw you had also begun. I am still overweight by about 30 pounds, but I know even doing just what I am capable of will be of benefit to me. I eat WFPB but tend to over eat higher calorie foods. So I have been at this plateau for a while now. In intend to make yoga a habit by keeping a calendar log and having my best friend check up on my progress by keeping me accountable. I do like being able to give a good accounting of my goals.
And now for my final announcement for this post. Something really exciting is coming up in January. If you are hell bent on getting your health and weight under control once and for all, I can highly recommend working with Chef AJ, John Pierre and myself in . . .
