I know that I’ve been making mention of a lot of books on HGK lately, and I feel guilty about overwhelming you guys, but I have to strike when the iron is hot. And I’m hot for another book right now: Secrets from the Eating Lab by Traci Mann, PhD.
I’m that weird kind of person that reads at least 5 books at once and I don’t have a thing about not finishing any of them if the inspiration doesn’t strike me.
Let me also add, I don’t waste my time or yours blogging about people or books that aren’t of serious interest to us.
As a blogger, I get a lot (and I mean A LOT) of requests from publishing houses and product manufacturers to review their products in exchange for free stuff. I’m so overwhelmed by the amount of it that I ignore most of it as it floods into my e-mail inbox each day, but something told me that this book sounded like it would be right up our alley, so I accepted the free copy and committed to writing a review by January 16th.
Well, that deadline came and went, but I’ wasn’t finished reading the book. I knew it wouldn’t become one of my UFOs (unfinished objects), because it’s so darned great. I also knew that if I could get Professor Mann on the phone and interview her, that it would make for quite an interesting conversation.
Here’s what I was told about Secrets from the Eating Lab from the publisher:
